AQS, a.s. is an independent acquisition company specializing in the purchase of film rights and their subsequent distribution in central and eastern Europe, especially in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Since the founding of the company in 1998, AQS, a.s. has created a strong acquisition and distribution group of the BIOSCOP, MAGIC BOX and MAGIC BOX SLOVAKIA divisions. BIOSCOP is in charge of cinema distribution of Czech and independent films, which are later released by MAGIC BOX on physical media. MAGIC BOX is the exclusive distributor of four film studios - DISNEY, PARAMOUNT PICTURES, UNIVERSAL and WARNER BROS. An independent company Magic Box Slovakia, s. r. o. was founded for the slovakian territory. It is in charge of the same task on the local market as the Czech BIOSCOP and MAGIC BOX. Besides introducing Czech and independent films to cinema and video distribution, the company specializes in licensing VOD, pay-TV and free TV rights for the Czech Republic, Slovakia and other central and eastern European countries. Thanks to more than two decades of history and the reputation of a stable business partner, AQS has now an extensive library of several hundred titles at its disposition.
